Our Horses …
Marty has one of the most colorful personalities out of all our horses. Always engaging and interacting, he likes to cause a little bit of trouble if you dont give him some attention. Between his superb work ethic and comfortable gaits, Marty is a barn favorite. Hes a great all around horse; having been in the jumper ring already, Marty will be making his debut in the dressage ring and hunters this year.
By far our students favorite to ride. Hank is an old soul and quite the suck up. He loves to be doted over and treated like he is the only horse here. Hank is a great mount for students looking to get in the show ring, whether the dressage or the hunters- as he does his job quite well!
Spirit is a giant goofball and a phenomenal teacher. She knows her job quite well and loves what she does! She takes great care of her rider, no matter their level or experience and will be a fantastic horse to show someone the ropes of the jumper ring. We are really excited for Spirits potential in the jumper ring and hopefully she will be making her debut at TIEC this year!
The first horse for the program, was really thought to be more of a project for students to work with. Poseidon had a pretty rough start in life and his nervousness reflects that. Pete is slowly graduating and moving up in the program. He’s started under saddle this year and is really taking to the work. Our hopes are high for this cutie, as he jumped the 3-foot pasture fence from a stand still!
Sired by our very own Bennos Hit, Barky posseses many of Bens attributes. He came with Ben from Canada last year and while he hasn’t had much experience under saddle, he sure is showing promise for the dressage ring. Barky has the temperament and personality we look for in our lesson horses; he is willing and super sweet, catches on to new things quickly and very interactive with his person. Barky is making a great project horse for our students to work with.
